Just cause...

11 Months Old

Sydney started helping her Mom and Dad with the Laundry this month! You can see what a big help she is sorting the underwear and socks! Time has flown by as usual...she is keeping us all very busy by crawling all over the place. She loves to walk behind her grocery cart, but still hasn't quite figured out that she can do it on her own. She is eating lots of different table foods, plays peek-a-boo, loves watching Sesame Street, and has started pointing things out when she wants them. She loves to take walks to the park and swing on the swing-set. Her top teeth just broke through this weekend and we are anxious for the arrival of her upcoming Birthday!

Easter...

Matt and I are not religious, nor do we believe in organized religion, so Easter for us is a time to celebrate our Family, Friends, eat candy, and make our kids wear silly little things like this so you can take pictures, post them to the internet, and show them to their boyfriends when they come over to take them out on future dates!

Getting away from it all...

We left shortly after the Easter Egg Hunt and went down to Matt's Uncles cabin just outside Osceola, Missouri for some much needed R & R. Saturday was beautiful, we bummed around all afternoon but Sunday we woke to the rain. Didn't matter, it was just nice to be out of KC for a night, with no service on our cell phones!

Mission Easter Egg Hunt...

We met up with the Brown's Saturday morning for some organized chaos at the Mission Pool Park. Syd & Jake both took part in an Easter Egg Hunt...if you can call it that at this age!

To my GIRLFRIENDS!!!

To my girlfriends to share with their girlfriends and so on...

I went to a TAKE Defense Training last night in OP. The class is FREE and is completely worth it. I want to recommend it to all the women in my life that I care about so that you will empower yourself to fight back if you ever find yourself in a situation that needs it. It is unfortunate to say that this is the world we live in today, but by being aware of your surroundings and paying closer attention to your gut when things don't feel right you can prevent yourself from being a victim. The skills that they shared with us are simple, it is for anyone at any age, and I signed up for this again since it will be just around the corner from me in August. Check out the website, talk to your girlfriends, and TAKE one of these classes!
