Overland Journal EXPO here we come...

I happened to come across information on the first Overland Journal EXPO to be held this year in Prescott, Arizona and immediately called Matt. If you are the outdoorsy type like we are, than you will appreciate what I was about to pitch to my husband. I called him at the Fire Department and asked him if he was interested in going to Arizona this year...he was like "Why?"...and when I mentioned the expo was taking place his response was, "Don't tease me!"

However I wasn't teasing...I know just how much something like this would mean to him and what an experience it would be for both of us. We have been talking for some time now about the things we still have yet to pursue or have put on hold and how life shouldn't be spent behind a desk all the time. If you want to enjoy it, you have to put yourself out there and get'er done.

Matt and I both grew up taking family "camping" trips. Hell, we got engaged on a camping trip to Colorado. And now, we want to take our camping a step further than our parents did and share these unique experiences with Sydney.
"Overlanding is a different way of exploring our world - whether 100 miles or 10,000 miles from home - in comfort, safety, and style. It's camping like you've never experienced. Overland Expo.2009 is an all-new and exclusive event for people who see their 4WD or ADV motorcycle as a means to adventure and exploration, and who see travel as a portal to learning about the world, as well as a means to conserving its beauty and preserving its unique cultures."

So we are going to take a little camping trip of our own down to Arizona this Spring to experience The Overland Journal EXPO ... rekindle our continued love for the Great Outdoors and the best part...I'll finally get to see the Grand's not very far and we plan on making a little detour before we head back home. Looks like 2009 is shaping up to be one fun year of traveling afterall!!!
