Ever seen a PINK firetruck??

So, as most of you know I am a member of the FLAMIN HOTTIES.
We are a group of Fire Fighter wives who have come together in honor of our friends and families who have or are battling cancer.

Today, I got a last minute call from my Team Mate Lori who informed me that this PINK FIRE TRUCK was coming through town and that we should round up who we could to get a picture with them.

I honestly had no idea what to expect, but when I pulled into the parking lot and saw this...I couldn't believe my eyes. I quickly made an effort to learn more about their cause.

The Guardians of the Ribbon, a.k.a. will drive a pink fire truck pulling a ten foot statue of a ribbon, 7400 miles across the United States and back. They are supporting all women, those healthy, those fighting and those we have lost to breast cancer.

They are spreading the "Cares Enough to Wear Pink" Campaign, asking the Public Safety and the local leaders of every community they visit to wear pink on the 25th, 26th and 27th of this Ocotber. The Guardians of the Ribbon are inviting all citizens across the United States to rally in support of the women of this Country. Help them use these three days to show your total support for these women. Just these three days to support 50% of the population which is not much to ask.

When they are done with the tour they will begin to build a pink fire station with bricks honoring the women who have been through cancer and this station will house the pink truck you see here that will eventually go on missions of hope and love to homes who have been touched by this deadly disease.

The ribbon tour will be a yearly event with the cities to be named each year. They will have shirts for sale and also ribbons to wear for the 25th, 26th, and the 27th of October, 2008.

If you are interested in participating or just learning more about them and their cause please visit and or send a quick e-mail to Dave Graybill @ if you have any questions.

I am very fortunate to have had the priveledge today to sign this truck in CELEBRATION - REMEMBRANCE - AND to FIGHT BACK against a disease that continues to take so much!!!

Oh Bud Light...

Oh Bud did us all wrong Saturday night!

This past Saturday was the culmination of a year and a half of hard work...that's right this crazy woman and several of her now close friends put together and followed through with their Ten Year High School Reunion!

We spent Friday night partially watching the Homecoming game (which SMN actually won!) while catching up with classmates. Saturday morning we took a tour of the school, which by the way, has changed ALOT in just 10 years...and on Saturday night we all met up at the Shark Bar in the new Power & Light District for drinks and debauchery!

I haven't had this much fun in a long time, and wasn't sure I would. But I am glad I was proven wrong and had a great time catching up with some very missed friends!!
